SafeSites' Strategic Alliance with Educational Software Company
Corona, California, May 1, 2000: SafeSites and Victor Valley based software
firm Smartetools.com have formed a strategic business alliance for the
development of user software for SafeSites first K-12 high-speed
education only national network.
The strategic alliance with Smartetools.com will provide two key software
element: (1) SafeSites graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to enable
teachers, students and administrators to use information more effectively
and (2) SafeSites Teacher Lesson Plan and Student Assessment authoring
tools and database. Mr. Jeff Gowdy, CEO of Smartetools.com sees the strategic
alliance with SafeSites "as a vehicle to get our company's products
and name into the nations schools. And that's a big market place
when you consider the hundreds of billions of dollars (National Center
for Educational Statistics) that Americas 83,000 K-12 public schools
spend each year.
SafeSites, a national Internet Service (ISP) and Application Service
(ASP) Provider company, is building Americas first K-12 high-speed
education only network providing customized "turnkey" information
technology solutions, services and content to Americas 83,000 schools
and public libraries. Approximately 100 schools located in Southern California
(Los Angeles and Riverside Counties) are scheduled to go on the SafeSites
high-speed network July 1, 2000. Beginning January 1, 2001, the company
will begin its national campaign, targeting K-12 schools in 9 additional
states (Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania,
Texas and Wisconsin).
SafeSites passes the 100 school mark
Corona, California, April 16, 2000: SafeSites, America's first K-12 high-speed
education only national network has reached its first goal of having 100
schools on the SafeSites Network by July 1, 2000.
Beginning January 1, 2001, the company will begin its national campaign,
targeting K-12 schools in 9 additional states (Illinois, Iowa, Michigan,
New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin).
